What is your favorite May Day memory? What do you miss most about the May Day assembly?

What I miss most about the May Day assembly is seeing students from all of the grade levels performing together. I thought this was showcased in the May Day court, when two students from each grade would have their own dance. I always thought it was nice for all of the dancers to have their hard work and rehearsals pay off by performing in front of the rest of the school. I also enjoyed the spirit and positive energy that the assembly, and May Day as a whole, would spread throughout the school. Although I don’t have any distinct, favorite memories from the May Day assemblies, I have enjoyed watching them ever since lower school.

  1. I agree, something I didn’t mention in my blogpost was the school spirit. On May Day, there was always such a bright and positive energy incomparable to other all-school assemblies. I will truly miss the excitement and joy of watching my classmates, and even faculty members, perform such beautiful dances. But I’m sure next year, we will all appreciate these things much more! Also, I truly appreciate the school and May Day court’s efforts to replicate that same feeling through their live broadcasted performance during these hard times.

  2. I also really enjoy watching the May Day court dancing during this assembly, it’s truly beautiful to watch. It definitely is one of my favorite assemblies to watch. Normally, I don’t enjoy going to assemblies but this one is definitely different. Like you said, there is definitely so much school spirit during this assembly and it brightens everyone’s day.
